Self-branding and promotion
The ogvidius logo took quite a long time to make, despite it being very simple. I went through many stages of design and development and tried out lots of different images, motifs, typefaces etc. I wanted it to have a 'thinking outside the box' look. I tried light bulbs, boxes etc. In the end I decided to have the letter g of Ogvidius being cut out of the rounded box which still gives the feel of being outside or escaping from the box.
I chose a sans-serif typeface to reflect the happy and not so serious mood of myself and my work. Avant-Garde was my font of choice because, not only did it look great, but the phrase Avant Garde means to be experimental or innovative and I liked that idea.
The actual design of the cards is very simple, which reflects my style of work. I chose the colours blue, lime green and orange along with the dark grey to be the four variations of my cards and this colour scheme and style has directly inspired the design of this website.
