These collages were a personal project and an experiment. Most of my designs are clean and computer based so it was quite refreshing to get my hands dirty and rip stuff. I started by taking some photographs of some industrial areas and then printing these out in black and white, then I arranged four different collages in a sketchbook and two collages with scanned images in Photoshop. I used some textured paper, pattern books and shape cutters too. I had quite an emphasis on shapes, with bold shapes being used to complement the images. For example, the bridge collage had a lot of curves and circle shapes so I mirrored that with some solid colour circles, and equally with the cut out of the road I used triangles to complement the shapes of the road lines. Some turned out better than others but overall I was quite happy with them!
